Ferguson receives Circle of Excellence Award

Ferguson was honored with the 2024 Circle of Excellence Award by Supply Chain Leaders in Action (SCLA) for its commitment to sustainable, responsible operations and track record of results and continuous improvement.

The Circle of Excellence Award is presented annually by the Distribution Business Management Association (DBM) to leading companies in various industries that embody the highest standards of quality, a commitment to environmental stewardship and set the benchmark for all other businesses. Past recipients include IBM, Starbucks, PepsiCo and Mercedes Benz. 

Harry J. Haney, Director – Supply Chain & Sustainability Center, presented the award at the SCLA Business Forum stating: “Ferguson, a company with roots dating to 1953, has a long history of treating their people and their customers right. Ferguson, with Michael Jacobs’ supply chain leadership, is a model that we can all learn from. They are clearly committed to developing their people and their ongoing contributions to the betterment of the supply chain profession are truly industry leading.”

The SCLA celebrated Ferguson’s progress across multiple initiatives including:

  • Improving packaging efficiency
  • Prioritizing health and safety
  • Expanded thermostat recycling program
  • Protecting and providing water
